Q:Can these be installed without a dimmer? How are pink and purple wired?
Answer:The dimmer is not required. Just cap the extraneous wires. But do check that the panels you got are safe and legal to install. The ones I got were not.
Q:Do I have to use a dimmer can it use ac power?
Answer:If you are not interested in being able to dim the light, than yes, you do not have to use a dimmer. There are, i think, three selectable wattage settings. Great lights for the money.
