Question:Is there any information that provides spacing guidelines? We have a 9' ceiling.
Answer:No. The amount of lights depends on the room size and room color.
Question:Can you hardwire this? Just trying to replace existing fluorescent lights?
Answer:What do you mean hardwire? It has a driver metal box attached behind the panel that has your typical Ground, Neutral and Hot wires (green, white and black). Depending on how your existing fluorescent light is connected, you might not need any extra adapters or adjustments. If your existing fluorescent light has the regular 2 or 3 prong electrical plug that’s plugged into a wall outlet then you will have to attach a 3 prong plug on the led panel or just remove the wall outlet and directly wire nut the wires according to their colors but I advise not doing that if you’re not experience or comfortable with messing with electrical jobs.
Question:It says flush mount, but the details only mention recessed or suspended. Is there a surface mount kit that needs to be purchased separately for that?
Answer:I used them to replace same size fluorescent lights in a suspended ceiling. They connected to the same existing bracket/frame the fluorescent lights mounted to. We did not need any additional hardware
