Question:Do i need to new ballast ( trash old ballast

Answer:NO you do not need a new ballast. In fact you do not need a ballast at all. Just disconnect the old ballast , Take it out than hook the Hot or black feed wire to one end of the fixture socket and the white or neutral wire to the other end of the fixture socket. Connect the bare or ground wire to the fixture.

Question:How much re-wiring is required to bypass existing ballast? And does this include the components to bypass the ballasts or bulbs only?

Answer:Hi, For bypassing the ballast, you just need to disconnect the wire on both base of it and then connect with black and white, red and yellow wires. You can refer to the 3rd picture on our product page, you don't need other components.
