Question:Can these be installed with the ballast still in play? What are the downfalls of not taking the ballast off?
Answer:They cannot be used with the ballast. You do not have to remove the ballast if you don't want to, so long as you cut the wires off of them and don't use them. The tubes must be connected directly to 100-277V AC as per the instructions that come with them.
