1. These works and well.

I was in a hurry to get can-less lights as the electrician was due in a couple of days and these are still not very easy to find in brick and mortar. I work in the hardware business and was very excited when I saw can-less lights at a trade show earlier this year. I was hesitant to purchase these and I do not know the brand. What I do know is most LEDs work regardless of the brand though they tend to not last as long.

These are a very easy plug and play install and should one burn out, take a flat head screwdriver and twist to get them out of the ceiling. They hold well (better than my canned lights) and are very bright.

2.  So much better than old style recessed lights.

I've installed a decent amount of recessed lights and these are my new favorite, especially for old work. I put them in my kitchen and bedroom and barely needed to check for studs since they are so thin. I used a star pattern (5 lights) for both rooms, 3ft from wall, 4ft from each other (on an 8ft ceiling), and have no weird shadowing. As most of the other reviews my only complaints are:
