Economic benefit of T8 fluorescent tube (take 18W as the calculation standard)
The 18W T8 fluorescent tube is equivalent to the 45W traditional T8 fluorescent tube. If 1000 tubes are opened for 20 hours a day and 30 days a month, the average electricity price is calculated at 1 yuan/kWh, then:
1. Monthly electricity consumption cost of 45W traditional T8 fluorescent tube:
45W÷1000Wh×1000pcs×20 hours×30 days×1 yuan/kWh=27000.00 yuan
2. Monthly electricity consumption cost of 18W T8 fluorescent tube:
18W÷1000Wh×1000pcs×20 hours×30 days×1 yuan/kWh=10800.00 yuan
Monthly electricity bills can be saved:
The monthly power consumption of 45W traditional T8 fluorescent tubes is RMB 27000.00 － The monthly power consumption of 18W LEDT8 fluorescent tubes is RMB 10800.00 = 16,200 yuan
Calculated as 11 months in a year, the electricity bills can be saved each year and the cumulative amount can reach:
(Monthly power consumption 27000.00 yuan × 11 months)-(monthly power consumption 10800.00 yuan × 11 months) = 178,200 yuan
3. If T8 fluorescent lamp with ballast and starter bracket is 15 yuan/piece for 5 years, traditional T8 tube will be calculated at 5 yuan/piece, 1.5 pieces a year, plus one year’s electricity bill, then 45W traditional Cost of T8 fluorescent tube for one year:
(1000 bracket × 15 yuan/piece) + (monthly power consumption 27000.00 yuan × 11 months) + (annual lamp consumption 1.5 × 3 yuan/piece × 1000 pieces) = 316,500 yuan
4. If T8 fluorescent lamp does not contain ballast and starter bracket 8 yuan/piece and LED T8 tube is 88 yuan/piece, replaced once every 5 years, plus one year’s electricity bill, 18W high-brightness patch TOP3528LED- Cost of T8 fluorescent tube for one year:
(1000 bracket × 8 yuan/piece) + (monthly power consumption 10800.00 yuan × 11 months) + (LED tube 88 yuan/piece × 1000 pieces ÷ 5 years) = 144,400 yuan
5. When the 18W T8 fluorescent tube is used for one year, the total cost savings can be calculated:

6. The life of the 18W T8 fluorescent tube is 5 years, and the total cost saved in 5 years can be calculated:
(One-year cost of traditional fluorescent tube: 316,500 yuan-one-year cost of T8 fluorescent tube: 144,400 yuan) × 5 years = 860,500 yuan
The actual power consumption of a 20W traditional fluorescent lamp is about 53W, and the actual power consumption of a 40W traditional fluorescent lamp is about 68W;
