Talking about how to choose solar street lights? How to configure solar street lights?
Below we give a specific example
1. LED light, single channel, 40W, 24V system;
2. The local daily effective light is calculated at 4h;
3. Daily discharge time is 10 hours, (take 7 pm-5 am as an example)
4. Meet 5 consecutive rainy days (plus electricity consumption the night before rainy days, 6 days). Current = 40W÷24V =1.67 A
Calculation battery = 1.67A × 10h × (5 + 1) days = 1.67A × 60h = 100 AH
Reserve 20% capacity for battery charging and discharging; the actual current of the street lamp is above 2A (plus 20%
Loss, including constant current source, line loss, etc.)
The practical battery needs = 100AH plus 20% of the reserved capacity, plus 20% of the loss. 100AH ÷ 80% × 120% = 150AH
The practical battery is 24V/150AH, and two groups of 12V batteries are required: 300AH
Calculate the panels:
1. LED light 40W, current: 1.67A
2. Daily discharge time is 10 hours (take 7 pm-5 am as an example)
3. Reserve at least 20% of the battery board
4. The effective local light is calculated based on the average daily 4h
WP÷17.4V = (1.67A × 10h × 120%) ÷ 4 h
WP= 87W
Practice constant current source loss, line loss and other comprehensive loss around 20%
Battery board practical need = 87W × 120% = 104W
The practical battery board needs 24V /104W, so two 12V battery boards are required in total: 208W
In this era of price chaos, choosing a lamp is the same as choosing a computer.
