Tsinghua University to build a new type of lithium-ion battery ceramic material project
On the morning of April 20, the signing ceremony of the new lithium battery ceramic material project of the academician Nan Cewen team of Tsinghua University was held in Xuyi County, Huaian City, Jiangsu Province. Cai Lixin, Mayor of Huai'an, Nan Cewen, Dean of the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering of Tsinghua University, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Feng Yuchuan, Chairman of Jiangsu Qingtao Energy Technology Co., Ltd. attended the signing ceremony.
It is understood that the new lithium battery ceramic material project planned by Academician Nan Cewen of Tsinghua University has a total investment of 300 million yuan. Using the modified function of attapulgite, it is mainly engaged in the research and development and industrialization of new lithium battery ceramic materials, and further extends and expands Xuyiwa Application of new soil materials. The project plans to build a production line with an annual output of 500 tons of solid electrolyte materials and 1,000 tons of manganese-based cathode materials in early 2019. The products will be widely used in electric vehicles, mobile electronic equipment, special power supplies and other fields.
At the signing ceremony, Nan Cewen said that Tsinghua University and Huai'an have a good foundation for cooperation. Since the Qingtao Energy Project was established in Xuyi four years ago, with the strong support of Huai'an City and Xuyi County, it has achieved rapid development.
