Why does the led light strip flicker?

Why does the led light strip flicker?

LED fixtures/bulbs are operated by electronic led drivers, some of which are more susceptible to noise (voltage fluctuations) than the quality of the fixture/bulb. So, what causes flickering? There could be many things. But most commonly, when there are voltage fluctuations in your house wiring, led bulbs may flicker or dim in the house. When you turn electrical loads on and off in your home, this causes voltage levels to change, which can cause LEDs to dim or flicker occasionally. But there are other reasons why your lights may dim or flicker.

1. Lack of resistors in the lamp

There are many reasons why led lights flicker, but the most common reason is a lack of resistors in the lights to make the dimmer curve work properly. This isn't a new problem; it's been around for a long time, but with the massive increase in LED usage, it's become more "noticeable". We first saw this problem a few years ago when dimmable fluorescent lamps and/or lighting fixtures became popular. The same problem occurs because the fluorescent lamp doesn't have enough resistive load between the load and neutral (complete circuit).

2. Increase resistance

We've done a lot over the years to try and stop the flickering problem with fluorescent lights and now LEDs. The biggest secret is usually increasing resistance, but that doesn't always solve the problem. Now, many dimming manufacturers and LED manufacturers are working together to prevent this problem. However, with so many new LED light manufacturers, it is difficult to achieve much consistency on this.

3. Increase the fixing device

Currently the fastest advice I can give you is to try out the LEDs and/or fixtures on a circuit before ordering a lot of them. I suggest you have 1-5 lights on the circuit to replace the leds and/or fixtures. If the led can work on this type of circuit, it will most likely work on the rest. What are LED manufacturers doing to correct this? As mentioned above, they are working with dimming manufacturers and working on solutions. A simple solution is for LED manufacturers to add a resistive circuit to each lamp, which aids in the dimming process.

Fourth, the load increases the resistance

Additionally, dimming manufacturers are introducing many new types of dimmers that can address the need for very small resistance on dimmers by adding resistance to the load or using different types of dimming such as forward phase or amplitude dimming . However, if you already have a dimmer, it doesn't seem fair to replace your dimmer to install LEDs and/or lighting fixtures.
