Self-ballasted medium base HID replacement lamp, the BENWEI LED high lumen lamp. The lamp is simple to install and excellent for sidewalk lighting applications outside and interior high/low bay lighting. The 50W LED lamp saves you up to 50% on energy costs and is similar to a 100W HID lamp.

This 50 watt led corn bulb generates 5000 lumens at 4000K and 5000K color temperatures, or 100 lumens per watt. In comparison to conventional high pressure sodium and metal halide lamps, it offers superb color rendering with a CRI of 82. The optical setup effectively distributes Type V light output in a 360 degree beam angle.

This retrofit bulb is approved for use in both indoor and outdoor enclosed settings and is appropriate for open and enclosed fixtures. It has a non-yellowing polycarbonate lens, UV protection, and heat and impact resistance. It has 2.5kV surge safeguards integrated into it. To keep the bulb in the fixture securely, a metal tether is provided.

This retrofit bulb is a Type B (direct wire or ballast bypass) retrofit, which means that for the LED retrofit to function properly, the existing ballast of the light fixture must be removed or bypassed. This LED retrofit should be installed by a certified electrician.
