A porch light comes with many RVs. Ours didn't, so we ordered one. We decided to put an outdoor strip light under the awning because it looked too big and awkward. We didn't want to drill through the steel body of the RV to run wires, so we made two extension cords, one short for when the awning is folded up against the body and one long for when the awning is out. Radio Shack made the plugs and sockets for the extension cords. Roger changed a dimmer by wiring it into a 12 VDC circuit and adding a plug. So, you can turn the dimmer all the way up to make the outside lights look like Broadway and Times Square, or you can turn it all the way down to make a discreet trail of dim lights so you can find your RV at night in a busy campground.

Q:If a light goes out, can the bulb be changed or does the whole fixture need to be changed? How would you take the light down if you had to?

A:You can't change the light bulb. The RV light is spring clipped to the ceiling, so it's easy to change.

Q:can these be turned down?

A:No, they can't be turned down.

Q:How do you change the color of thaws? What kind of wall switch do you need?

Answer: Our product is set to turn off the power and quickly turn it back on to change colors. This means that any normal switch switching will change the color temperature, and every time it is turned off, it will go back to the initial color temperature. Can't be set to a fixed color temperature

Q:Is this too bright to use as a replacement for a running light?

Yes, it's fairly bright. Not designed for running or brake lights. Very good replacement for the halogen lights that came with the car.

Q:Do I need an adapter or converter for my 1998 RV?

Answer: If your RV's previous light is powered by 12 volts DC, that's all you need. Just connect the new light's positive and negative wires.

Q: Do you have a export licence?
