Brightek Unveils EVO Series, Creating a New Generation of Automotive RGB iCLed Platform

Highlights:

In response to the most recent developments in customized interior design, Brightek introduces the EVO iCLed platform for car ambient lighting.

EVO's 7000 mcd brightness makes it perfect for outdoor ambient lighting or smart surface integration, improving visibility and appearance.

A constant and excellent ambient lighting experience is ensured by EVO's temperature sensor technology, which automatically corrects for color shifts brought on by temperature changes or varied installation positions.

At the 31st DVN Detroit Workshop, Mr. Chih-Hung Tzeng, General Manager of Brightek, will present a session titled "Machine-Learning Optimized Tuning Solution for IC-LED Based Ambient Lighting Applications."

The newest EVO series of iCLeds has been released by Brightek Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. (TWSE stock code: 5244), a top supplier of integrated optoelectronic solutions. The RGB iCLed EVO series is a new generation of iCLed devices that are specifically made for car ambient lighting and are in line with the smart cockpit trend. With its potent new IC architecture, EVO provides up to 7000 mcd of brightness, sophisticated temperature monitoring, voltage detection, and 16 million times more color richness than a conventional IC-LED. These characteristics raise the bar for vehicle iCLed applications by enabling accurate color calibration depending on the installation environment and different intelligent surfaces. At the 2024 DVN Detroit Workshop, which will take place in Livonia, Michigan, on June 11–12, the EVO iCLed product will make its premiere.

EVO Addresses Four Principal Issues in Automotive Ambient Lighting

Applications for automotive ambient lighting face a number of difficulties, including consistent color and brightness, voltage tolerance against vehicle surges, and varied brightness needs for various installation locations. In order to address these problems, Brightek unveiled the EVO series, which offers the following cutting-edge features:

16-bit PWM Color Mixing Technology: Compared to conventional 8-bit products, the EVO series offers 16 million times greater color expression thanks to its use of 16-bit PWM grayscale color mixing technology. By adjusting to different temperatures and inside panels or intelligent surfaces, this allows for finer and more realistic color performance and guarantees seamless color transitions.

Superb Brightness up to 7000 mcd: The EVO series has 256 current adjustment levels and can penetrate a variety of smart surfaces in the car to provide brightness up to 7000 mcd. This adaptability works well for outdoor ambient lighting applications as well as a variety of interior design styles.

2 SDCM Color Consistency: The EVO series surpasses the industry norm of 3 SDCM by keeping RGB current fluctuations under ±2%, reducing color disparities of each iCLed to an almost undetectable 2 SDCM. This guarantees the superior visual standards that premium cars need.

Temperature and Voltage Anomaly detecting: The sophisticated EVO series has overheat protection, sustained operation at temperatures up to 125°C, and intelligent temperature and voltage detecting capabilities.

Mr. Chih-Hung Tzeng, general manager of Brightek Optoelectronics, said: "Brightek has a wealth of experience in the automotive ambient lighting sector and was a pioneer in bringing iCLed products to the Chinese automotive market in 2019." Major multinational automakers use our iCLed solutions, which demonstrates our thorough comprehension of the requirements and difficulties encountered by our automotive customers. The EVO iCLed product is a next-generation platform designed for the smart cockpit trend in addition to being an advanced iCLed level. We provide clients with all-inclusive solutions by creating unique software and algorithms, guaranteeing that the EVO platform operates at peak efficiency on the client's end.

Additionally, during the 31st DVN Detroit Workshop, Mr. Tzeng will present a lecture titled "Machine-Learning Optimized Tuning Solution for IC-LED Based Ambient Lighting Applications." In order to introduce the new iCLed ambient lighting solution to the global market, this presentation will examine how sophisticated algorithms allow for accurate color management in iCLed ambient lighting.
