Insulation requirements for LED lamps to prevent electric shock
LED lamps and lanterns according to normal use installation and wiring, replacement of LED light source, electrical components must be turned on when the lamp must be turned on, its live parts are inaccessible. Basic insulating parts cannot be used on the outer surface of lamps without accidental contact prevention measures. That is, it is required to cover the exposed pad part.
1. The insulating properties of paint, enamel, paper and similar materials should not be used to provide the required protection against electric shock and short-circuit protection;
2. Lamps equipped with capacitors greater than 0.5uf capacitors should be equipped with discharge devices. After the lamp is disconnected from the power supply of rated voltage, the voltage across the capacitor should not exceed 50V;
3. The outer cover that provides protection against electric shock and has sufficient mechanical strength, and should be reliably fixed and will not loosen during normal operation;
4. Use the test finger to touch every possible location, apply a force of 10 N if necessary, and use an electric indicator to show the contact with the live parts. The movable parts, including the lampshade, should be placed in the most unfavorable position with bare hands. Location, if the movable parts are metal parts, they should not touch the live parts of the lamp or LED light source (module)
5. First of all, you have to judge whether it is a live part. If the power supply is a resistance-capacitance step-down, non-isolated power supply, or linear power supply, it is unqualified.
The plastic sheet only covers the lamp beads. For non-isolated drives, the creepage distance should not be enough. The plastic sheet only covers the edge of the lamp bead, it must be judged as unqualified.
1. There should be an insulating sheet at the bottom of the terminal;
2. The screws of the aluminum base plate should have insulating sheets;
3. The aluminum substrate cannot be seen when connected to electricity

Anti-shock protection safety extra-low voltage ≤50V, mechanical strength, electrical clearance, creepage distance, etc. are all factors to be considered.
