LED street lights are the first to use ceramics to make the heat dissipation effect a qualitative leap
Benwei LED Lighting: Heat dissipation is the primary problem of LED street lights. How to improve the service life and reliability of LED street lights depends on the quality of heat dissipation. And abandoning the PCB board and using the ceramic body as a substitute, the heat dissipation effect of the LED street lamp has produced a qualitative leap.
Traditional street lamps usually use PCB boards, which generate a lot of heat in the lamp, and there is a natural conflict between the heat dissipation and the insulating layer. As a result, the heat in the lamp cannot be dissipated, and the LED junction temperature rises too high, shortening the service life of the lamp and reducing the cost. Reliability will also cause a lot of waste of resources. And the first to abandon the PCB board (aluminum substrate) and use the ceramic body as an alternative LED street lamp, and directly solder the chip on it. On the one hand, the ceramic itself is insulated to prevent leakage risks and non-ferrous metal pollution. Good heat dissipation, the service life is greatly improved. The use of this technology can be said to be a new revolution in LED lighting. The difficulties are as follows. First of all, the ceramic lamp body needs to be sintered at high temperature. During this process, many factors cannot be completely controlled, which will lead to a low yield rate of the ceramic lamp body. Generally, manufacturers cannot afford the R&D cost of improving the yield rate. Secondly, welding the chip on the ceramic lamp body, while ensuring the reliability, the aesthetic appearance, and the scientificity of the structure and component arrangement, is the most critical part of the ceramic heat dissipation technology.
The LED street lamp, which has overcome the problem of heat dissipation, has achieved a qualitative leap in its life and reliability.
