Japan's Tokushima, January 25, 2023: The NVSW719AC and NVSW219C-V2 have been added to Nichia's industry-standard ceramic, high-power 3535 size LED range. Nichia is the world's leading LED producer and originator of high-brightness blue and white LEDs. The NVSW719AC is a brand-new LED with cutting-edge technology that opens up new lighting design possibilities, while the NVSW219C-V2 uses a dome-less design to provide unmatched colour consistency.
The NVSW719AC is the first LED in the world to attain such very high brightness thanks to Nichia's inventive technology of multiple light-emitting layers that can reach three times the luminance of a standard product. It makes it possible to simplify and reduce the size of luminaire designs, which results in the creation of entirely new lighting areas. Super high luminance also makes it possible to irradiate with more brightness than previously possible, even from a tiny, constrained area. According to Nichia, machine vision applications and portable lighting would be the best uses for these characteristics.
The NVSW219C-V2 is a dome-less structured LED with enhanced colour uniformity that prioritises light quality. LED point light sources have historically needed to have more luminous flux and efficiency, but in recent years, there has been a growing desire for improved light quality. For many years, developing and delivering different LEDs while aiming for the best light quality has been a key approach of Nichia. Nichia created the NVSW219C-V2, which offers outstanding light quality, by using its years of experience and technology in phosphors and LEDs. From every perspective, this LED provides exceptional colour constancy and highlights compatibility with current secondary optics.
Although these two new LEDs have different and unique features, they were both made in the industry-standard 3535 size and have a ceramics packaging, which ensures the maximum reliability. Since they were created using an entirely original directional approach, Nichia anticipates that they will provide fresh viewpoints to the LED lighting industry.
