The OSCONIQ® LEDs from Ams OSRAM in the high-performance system from Musco Lighting are the foundation of the new LED floodlighting at Armin Wolf Stadium.
The upgrade raises the stadium's lux levels to meet Major League Baseball's strict requirements for field-of-play illumination.

Essen, Germany, and Premstaetten, Austria (20 April 2023) -- As part of a new field-of-play lighting system at the Armin-Wolf-Arena, a baseball stadium in Regensburg, Germany, ams OSRAM (SIX: AMS), a global leader in optical solutions, and Musco Lighting, a global leader in sports lighting equipment, have revealed the performance details of ams OSRAM's OSCONIQ® LEDs.
The stadium's new floodlighting system features Musco Lighting's Total Light Control®-TLC for LED system, which is equipped with OSCONIQ® P 3737 LEDs from ams OSRAM, which provide the TLC for LED luminaires with a 5700K light source.
When the Armin-Wolf-Arena was chosen to host the 2023 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers, it had to update its field-of-play lighting to Major League Baseball's (MLB) lighting requirements.
According to Musco Lighting, the stadium has been completely changed by the floodlighting, which has increased the lux levels on the playing field by 85% while using 13% less electricity than the old lights. The lighting produces little glare and very little overflow light beyond the stadium's perimeter, all while achieving very high consistency and uniformity around the playing field.
With the help of the new system, the Armin-Wolf-Arena can now hold games at the highest level of baseball, including this year's World Baseball Classic Qualifier, and meet MLB's infield and outfield lighting regulations.
Some of the largest and most recognisable professional stadiums in the world have Musco's TLC for LED technology installed. Musco is the world leader in sports lighting. Following a thorough assessment of the OSCONIQ® P 3737 LEDs' performance in a demanding application positioned atop a high mast, Musco decided to include them into its LED system.
