    The utilization rate of the power supply of the traditional fluorescent tube is not ideal: the additional ballast consumes a large amount of power and requires an auxiliary high voltage when it is turned on; the mercury built into the fluorescent tube cannot be processed when it is discarded, which becomes a pollution hazard to the environment. The fluorescent powder of the fluorescent tube contains a large amount of mercury (mercury) during the process of filling the fluorescent tube. Therefore, after the fluorescent tube is broken, the mercury vapor that escapes is more harmful to the human body. Authoritative data show that: when mercury vapor reaches 0.04 to 3 mg, people will be chronically poisoned within 2 to 3 months, and when it reaches 1.2 to 8.5 mg, it will induce acute mercury poisoning. If the amount reaches 20 mg, it will directly cause animal death.

Take the T8 tube as an example, the nominal 36W fluorescent tube (CFL), its additional ballast consumes 8W, the actual power consumption is 44W during operation, the lumens are 420lm, and the service life is 3,000 hours. The LED tube of the same specification consumes only 16W when working, illuminates 1300lm, and has a service life of up to 30,000 hours.
