Several issues that should be paid special attention to in poultry lighting management

Several issues that should be paid special attention to in poultry lighting management

1. Poultry lighting management should be the best starting from the chicks, and should not exceed the rearing period at the latest, otherwise the ideal results will not be achieved.

2. Once the illumination system is implemented, it should not be changed, and the illumination should not be interrupted; the time should not be long or short; the intensity should not be strong or weak. Keep the illuminance as uniform as possible in the house and maintain the applied illuminance.

3. The transition from the lighting system during the rearing period to the laying period is carried out in accordance with the growth and development of the chicken. For example, the growth and development of big mothers and chicks are poor, and their weight is lighter, so they can postpone the increase of light time by one week. Add feed 1-2 weeks before the time of increasing light, and switch to layer feed when starting to increase light.

4. Don't change the light color and light time suddenly. Especially for laying hens, the supplementary light time should be from short to long, and it is better to supplement in the morning and evening to increase the chicken's feed intake. But it should be noted that the initial increase in light time should not exceed 1 hour per week, so as not to cause prolapse. The light intensity should be gradually brightened or dimmed, and the transition from the rearing period lighting program to the laying period program should also be carried out gradually. If the lights are suddenly turned off or the lighting time is shortened, it may cause convulsions, moulting, abnormal egg production or rest production. And other phenomena.

5. Poultry lighting and illumination management must be matched with a complete feeding management system, and reasonable illumination can significantly improve the growth performance of chickens.

6. The setting of led bulbs should be reasonable, and the distribution should be even, and there should be no dark areas. There are multiple rows of light bulbs in the chicken house, and each row of light bulbs should be staggered; the distance between the light bulb and the wall of the chicken house should be only half the distance between the light bulbs.
