There are three wiring methods for LED fluorescent tubes

LED fluorescent tube wiring can be divided into three types, namely, two-end wiring, single-ended wiring and staggered wiring.

The starter and ballast in the traditional fluorescent lamp are not used in the LED fluorescent tube, and the inductive ballast will consume part of the power. The measured input power of the 18W LED fluorescent tube is without removing the inductive ballast. It can reach 20.5W, which is a waste of 2.5W of electricity.

Recommendations of LED tube manufacturers: 1. The starter must be removed. 2. The magnetic ballast can be removed if it is really inconvenient.

In the above three connection modes, LED fluorescent tubes with or without inductive ballast can work normally.

Incoming wires at both ends is a relatively early and common connection method due to its convenient wiring and simple aging characteristics. So far, many LED tube manufacturers have adopted it. Short the two pins of the lamp holder, and then connect them to the internal constant current power supply. This wiring method only needs to remove the traditional starter, and it can work normally.

The wiring method of single-ended wire entry: one end of the LED tube is not wired, and the two pins on the other end are respectively lead to the constant current drive power supply. There is no connection between the two lamp holders. The biggest advantage of this is safety. If one end of the led tube is connected to AC power, the other end will never be charged. When replacing the traditional fluorescent lamp, you need to remove the original starter, replace it with the starter fuse, and install the lamp tube.

The staggered wiring is a relatively new wiring method. This wiring has some requirements for the internal drive of the LED tube and requires two AC wiring terminals. The biggest advantage of this wiring method is that it can work normally with or without the starter. When replacing, only the lamp tube needs to be replaced, which is very convenient to operate. Compatible with Philips, Osram, Hitachi, Panasonic, Toshiba and other electronic ballasts use this connection method.
