Why are LED fluorescent lights so durable?

  The light-emitting principle of the incandescent lamp is that the electric energy heats the light-emitting tungsten filament to emit light. After a long time of heating, the tungsten filament will age or even burn out. At this point, the life of the incandescent light bulb will end.

The light-emitting mechanism of light-emitting diodes is determined by the special composition structure of the diodes. The diodes are mainly composed of PN crystal sheets, electrodes and optical systems. When a forward bias is applied to the electrodes, electrons and holes are injected into the P region respectively. and N regions, when the non-equilibrium minority carriers and majority carriers recombine, the excess energy is converted into light energy in the form of radiated photons. Its luminescence process includes three parts: carrier injection under forward bias, recombination radiation and light energy transfer. It can be seen that the diode emits light mainly by the continuous movement of carriers, and there is no aging and burnout phenomenon. Its special light-emitting mechanism determines its light-emitting life as long as 50,000-100,000 hours.

       According to the HATIZ theorem of LEDs: when the operating temperature of the LED is below 25°C, the service life is 100,000 hours; when the temperature is 25-50°C, the service life is 50,000 hours; when the operating temperature is 50-75°C, the service life is 20,000 hours. , 75-100 ℃, the service life is 10,000 hours, 100-125 ℃, the service life is 5,000 hours, 125-150 ℃, the service life is 2,000 hours.

4. Uniformity of light color and optical system of lamps

 Due to the special structure of small LEDs, the light characteristics are not the same as incandescent bulbs and fluorescent lamps, and there is a problem of non-uniformity of white light color. After combining into lighting fixtures, what about the uniformity of light color?
