Will LED street light energy-saving bulbs become mainstream?

Energy-saving bulbs for LED street lamps will become the mainstream and hot spot of the lighting industry in the near future. With the rapid growth of the national economy, the contradiction between my country's energy supply and demand has become increasingly prominent. There is a serious shortage of power supply, and energy conservation is an urgent problem to be solved. Therefore, the development of a new type of high-efficiency, energy-saving, long-life, high color rendering index, and environmentally friendly LED street lamps is of great significance to the energy saving of urban lighting. Low maintenance cost of LED street lights: Compared with traditional street lights, the maintenance cost of LED street lights is extremely low. After comparison, all input costs can be recovered in less than 6 years. The LED street lamp has an automatic control energy-saving device, which can achieve the greatest possible reduction in power and energy saving under the condition of meeting the lighting requirements of different periods. It can realize computer dimming, time period control, light control, temperature control, automatic inspection and other humanized functions. The current status of LED lighting is mainly based on high-power white LED single lamps. LED street lights are the general term for LED lights. With the further maturity of LED street lighting technology, LED lighting will achieve more and better developments in the field of interior lighting design and development. The current 21st century bedroom lighting design will be based on the LED street lamp bulb design, so that the design can become the protagonist of the indoor lighting culture when it fully reflects the development trend of energy-saving, healthy, artistic and humanized lighting. LED street lights have also begun to be used in a wide range of applications.

Currently, the energy-saving products we are talking about are mainly incandescent lamps. The effect of ordinary incandescent lamp is 10 lumens per watt, and the life span is about 1000 hours. Its working principle is that when the bulb is connected to the circuit, the current flows through the filament (tungsten wire), and the heating effect of the current causes the incandescent lamp to emit continuous visible light and infrared rays. At this time, due to working reasons, the temperature of the filament rises to about 2700K. When the filament temperature is high, most of the energy is wasted in the form of infrared radiation. Due to the high temperature of the filament, the tungsten filament evaporates quickly, so the life of the filament is also greatly shortened, about 1,000 hours.

Energy-saving lamps mainly heat the filament through a ballast. At a temperature of about 1160K, the filament begins to emit electrons (because some electronic powder is coated on the filament). The electrons collide with argon atoms to produce inelastic collisions. Argon atoms collide with each other to obtain energy and hit mercury atoms. After the mercury atoms absorb energy, they are converted into ionization and emit 253.7nm ultraviolet light, which excites the phosphor to emit light. Since the temperature of the fluorescent lamp is about 1160K, which is much lower than that of the incandescent lamp, the life span is also greatly improved, reaching more than 5000 hours. Because it does not have the current heating effect of incandescent lamps, the energy conversion efficiency of fluorescent lamps is also very high, reaching more than 50 lumens/watt.
