Are Home Red Light Therapy Devices The Next Big Wellness Trend? And Do They Really Work?

Red light therapy has long been a well-liked procedure at medical spas and doctor's offices. This covers facials, acne treatment, red light saunas, muscular rehabilitation, and more. But can red light treatment equipment used at home be just as successful as choices used in hospitals? Does red light treatment actually help, or is it just the next Yoni egg? You could be surprised by the answer after using one of these gadgets recently and experiencing unexpected outcomes.

Describe red light.

At 660 nm, red light is one form of light. It improves skin health and healing since it is absorbed by the cells and tissues on the skin's surface.

850 nm is the wavelength of near-infrared light, which is not visible to the human eye. Near-infrared light, which is more deeply absorbed by tissues than red light, promotes muscle repair and lessens inflammation.

Numerous scientific investigations have demonstrated the effectiveness of both red and infrared light.

A red light gadget called the Joovv Mini 2.0 caught my attention recently. Joovv manufactures a number of red light products that all fundamentally emit red and near-infrared light. While the other Joovv devices are used for the complete body, the Mini and Go (which is portable) are intended to target particular regions. The bigger devices may be upgraded easily over time since they are modular (composed of multiple smaller devices). They may be used for relaxation or meditation and are mounted on the back of a door or a wall.

You will receive the advantages of both forms of red light from all Joovv devices. According to Wes Pfiffner, director of business development at Joovv, "At Joovv, we use near-infrared light as well as red light because that's what's been scientifically proven to stimulate cellular energy, which then leads to many positive benefits, including skin health."

Since near-infrared light has a longer wavelength than other forms of light, it may enter the body more deeply, healing tissue and promoting cellular regeneration. It's perfect for anybody coping with an injury, preparing for a marathon or triathlon, enjoying exercise, or just wanting to improve their general wellbeing because it also supports muscular health and accelerates the body's natural recuperation and healing process.

Pfiffner claims that there is widespread agreement in the scientific world that both forms of light have the following advantages: improved wound healing, less inflammation, quicker muscular recovery, skin rejuvenation, improved sleep, better blood flow, and mental sharpness.

You can be startled if you think that everything seems too nice to be true. I was told I had Bell's Palsy about a month before I tried the Joovv. For those who are not familiar with this uncommon condition, the Mayo Clinic lists the following symptoms of Bell's Palsy: "In most situations, the weakness is transient and becomes a lot better over a few weeks. Your frailty makes the lower part of your face look slack. Your one-sided smile prevents your other eye from shutting.

It's not appealing. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get the left side of my face to move. Bell's Palsy has made it difficult for me to swallow, which is awkward and annoying when it comes to eating and drinking. My speech was also greatly impacted, and I seemed to be very intoxicated or to have a brain damage.

My doctor's medicine didn't do anything to assist. So I made the decision to test the Joovv. My problems have greatly improved after practically daily use for about six weeks, and I am virtually completely recovered. I have full facial movement, can eat and drink properly. My grin is still a little wonky, but that's the only problem.

Although I can't say that near-infrared light "cured" my Bell's palsy, I have no difficulty in recommending the Joovv to someone who has just received a diagnosis. I'm delighted with my development given that Bell's Palsy recovery might take up to six months. There are research linking light treatment to the reduction of Bell's Palsy symptoms, so this isn't a coincidence.

It's also important to note that a number of well-known individuals now support the company, including Dave Asprey, Ben Greenfield, Lacy Stone, Dr. Axe, and Drew Brees.

Even though I didn't use the red light function much (it's so bright you can't actually turn it on and multitask), I intend to investigate it soon.
