  Increase nutrition in laying hens

After the hot summer and long-term egg laying is already very tired, more animal-based protein feed should be fed after the fall to encourage the laying hens that have not yet moulted to continue to lay eggs, and to promote the rapid growth of moulted layers to feathers and resume production as soon as possible. What should be paid attention to in autumn management of laying hens?

The developmental uniformity of the flock should be grasped. Large, medium, and small reserve hens should be reared separately. The feed amount of light-weight chickens should not exceed that of medium and large chickens, so as not to affect sexual maturity due to fat deposits. Part of the nutrients eaten by newly-opened chickens is used for laying eggs, and part is used for the growth and development of the body. Therefore, to increase the egg production of newly-opened chickens, it is necessary to provide nutrient-rich feed and increase artificial light time. Artificially induce labor.

   Provide enough drinking water

Laying hens must not be short of water every day, and sufficient clean drinking water should be ensured for first-born hens. Generally, a hen needs about 100 grams of water per day. It is best to use a running water tank for water supply. We can also supply light salt water 2 to 3 times a week. In order to improve the physique of laying hens, increase feed intake, but also increase carrot or green feed to increase protein levels.

   Feeding additives

Adding some additives to the diet of laying hens in autumn can improve the egg production, anti-stress and disease resistance of chickens, and save feed. The egg rich powder additive can be evenly mixed into the feed at 0.25%, and the chickens can eat freely, which can increase the egg production rate and enhance the immunity; 200 grams of vitamin C can be added to each kilogram of the diet; Adding 0.1% to 0.15% baking soda in the diet can increase eggshell thickness in addition to improving egg production.

   Zinc and calcium supplements

In early autumn, the humidity is high and chickens have more intestinal diseases. It is necessary to add beneficial intestinal flora to the feed to improve the intestinal environment and reduce the damage of pathogenic bacteria to the intestinal mucosa, thereby improving the digestion and absorption of feed and increasing the efficiency of breeding. Generally, eggshells are formed at night, such as calcium supplementation in the afternoon, more than 90% of the calcium can be directly absorbed by laying hens to form eggshells. Generally, it is 3% in the first and late stages of laying hens, and 5% in the peak period.

Zinc has an important regulatory effect on the growth and development of laying hens, eggshell quality, and immune function. Zinc is a key factor affecting the growth of laying hens. Diets based on natural feed often cannot meet the nutritional needs of animals. The source of fish meal is becoming increasingly scarce. Various farms have explored the use of whole plant diets instead of fish meal to feed laying hens. To ensure the nutrition of laying hens, zinc supplementation should be strengthened. Laying hens that need artificial moulting should be fed with 2% zinc oxide in the diet. According to conventional management, a large number of hair will be removed after 10 days, and egg production will resume at 22 days, and the egg production peak period will be reached at 58 days, which can be shortened compared with conventional methods. 25-40 days.
