China's LED lighting looks at Shenzhen
At the beginning of this century, with the continuous breakthrough of LED technology, the application field is expanding day by day. In addition to indicator lights, the application technology in the display field and backlight field is basically mature, and the market share of outdoor large-scale advertising screens, mobile phones, laptop computers, GPS navigation and other digital markets has gradually increased. At present, Shenzhen has formed a relatively complete industrial chain of "substrate material-epitaxial wafer-chip-packaging-application", which has laid a good foundation for Shenzhen's semiconductor lighting industry to form a leading position.
"China's LED lighting depends on Shenzhen, Shenzhen's LED lighting depends on Baoan." There is such a saying in the semiconductor lighting industry. This is because there are about 2,300 LED lighting-related companies in Shenzhen, accounting for about one-third of the country and one-half of Guangdong Province; Baoan has more than 800 LED lighting-related companies with an output value of more than 50 million yuan in the city. There are less than 1,000, and Baoan District accounts for about half of them. The Baoan Semiconductor Industry Alliance is also the first industrial alliance established in Bao'an District. Enterprises develop in a group, focus on core innovation, and form a strong industrial chain to jointly illuminate a "brightness" in the international market.
Shenzhen's semiconductor lighting (commonly known as LED) industry was spontaneously formed in the rapid development of Shenzhen's electronic information industry. Since the 1990s, with the continuous deepening of reform and opening up, foreign-funded enterprises have invested more in Shenzhen, including many Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and foreign semiconductor lighting companies. At the same time, some domestic optoelectronic research institutions are also investing in building enterprises in Shenzhen. Shenzhen currently has about 2,300 semiconductor lighting related enterprises, accounting for about one-third of the country and one-half of Guangdong Province. Shenzhen LED companies are mainly distributed in Bao'an, Longhua, Guangming and Longgang, among which there are about 800 in Bao'an District.
