Color temperature is one of the important points in sports lighting. In general, 4000-5500K is required for the standard of the sports field. 5600K CCT is the requirement of the NFL, because it is closed to the sun’s temperature of 5778K.
During the day, the light color of the sun will change with time. The light color will be yellower when the sun is rising 40 minutes, the color temperature is around 3000K; the light color is white when the sun at noon, CCT rising to 4800-5800K, and it is around 6500K at noon if it is cloudy days; the light color is reddish when the sun is going to set, the color temperature reduces to 2200K, and it will be the same as the color temperature of candlelight. For outdoor sports facilities, 4000K or higher is generally required, especially at dusk to match the daylight. For indoor sports facilities, it usually requires 4500K or lower.
