1. In view of these two differences, how to identify the quality difference of LED strips
Identification 1: Look at the solder joints. The LED light strips produced by regular LED light strip manufacturers are produced by the SMT patch process, solder paste and reflow soldering process. Therefore, the solder joints on the LED strip are relatively smooth and the amount of solder is not much, and the solder joints extend from the FPC pads to the LED electrodes in an arc shape. [The amount of solder in the solder joints of the bootleg LED light strip is uneven, and more than one dot wraps the solder feet, and there will be tin tips of different levels, which is a typical phenomenon of manual soldering.
Identification 2: Look at the quality of FPC. FPC is divided into two types: copper-clad and rolled copper. The copper foil of the copper-clad plate is protruding. If you look closely, you can see it from the connection between the pad and the FPC. The rolled copper is closely connected with the FPC. As a whole, it can be bent arbitrarily without the phenomenon of pad falling off. If the copper-clad plate is bent too much, the pad will fall off, and if the temperature is too high during maintenance, the pad will fall off.
Identification 3: Look at the cleanliness of the surface of the LED light strip. If the LED light strip produced by the SMT process is used, the surface cleanliness is very good, and no impurities and stains can be seen. However, if the pirated version produced by the hand welding process is used LED light strips, no matter how the surface is cleaned, there will be stains and cleaning traces left in the city, and there will be flux and tin slag residues on the surface of the FPC.
Identification 4: Look at the packaging. Regular LED light strips will be packaged in anti-static coils, generally 5 meters per roll or about 10 meters per roll, and then the surface is sealed with anti-static moisture-proof packaging bags. The pirated version of the LED light strip will be used to take over the reel for cost saving, and then there is no anti-static moisture-proof packaging bag. If you look closely at the reel, you can see the traces and scratches left when the label is removed on the surface.
Recognition 5: Look at the label. Regular LED lights have printed labels on the packaging bags and reels, not printed labels. The label of the pirated version is printed, and the specifications and parameters are not uniform.
Identification 6: Look at the accessories. The regular LED light strip will have instructions for use and the light strip specification in the box, and the LED light strip connector will probably be a card holder; and the pirated version of the LED light strip packaging box There are no such accessories here, because some manufacturers still save as much as they can.
