LED fluorescent lamps must pass EN62471 certification

LED fluorescent lamps must pass EN62471 certification

 IEC 62471:2006 & EN 62471 standard

background:

(IEC 62471:2006 & EN 62471:2008 will be implemented on September 1, 2009 this year, and all LED lights will have to test this standard from now on. The IEC/EN 60825-1 report can still be used now. Transition period, but it will completely expire in September 2010).

IEC/EN60825 is a single wavelength, read a number (laser products are single wavelength).

IEC/EN62471 is multi-band, in addition, it can also measure human eyes, skin, viewing angle, sensitivity, and reaction time.

Applicable products: all lights (except laser type), proximity principle.

Test range: 200nm-3000nm

What to measure: The parameters are irradiance (W/M2) and irradiance (irradiance/field of view)

1. Ultraviolet hazards of skin and eyes;

2. Near ultraviolet hazard of eyes (315-400nm);

3. Retina blue light hazard (generally understood as a large light source)

4. Retina blue light harm (small light source);

5. The heat hazard of the retina;

6. The heat hazard of the retina (weak light 780-1400nm);

7. Infrared radiation of eyes (780-3000nm);

8. Thermal hazards of the skin (380-3000nm);

Certification required for export to Europe and the United States
