NATATORIUM LUMINESS
What do lights in natatoriums do?
The illumination for the pool area is provided by natatorium lights, which are positioned from above. LED Natatorium lights are the same-named Metal Halide fixtures' LED equivalents.

Typically, the natatorium lighting plan takes lamp maintenance and repair into account. They are often not placed over the lights' surfaces; instead, they have dedicated maintenance pathways above the water's surface. Lamps are frequently strewn over the lake, the roof, or the ceiling above the wall in stadiums that do not have TV broadcasting regulations for décor.
The crosswalk above the pool banks on both sides is typically decorated with light strips for sporting events with TV broadcasts. Additionally, it is necessary to install the proper number of lamps under the diving platform and springboard to prevent the formation of jumping platforms and springboards. Key illumination for the diving sports warm-up pool is provided by shadows.

LUX rating for natatorium lighting
It should be stressed that natatorium lighting should not be installed on the upper portion of the diving pool for diving sports, as this will cause the lighting's mirror image to appear in the water and interfere with athletes' judgment and competitive abilities. Therefore, this type of illumination should not be utilized during diving training or formal competition.
The European standard for swimming pool safety design criteria is BS EN 15288-1 Swimming Pool-Safety Requirements for Design. It offers suggestions about the intensity of the illumination.
It is advised to use as much natural light as possible. All three areas—circulation, machine room, and dressing room—need 100 Lux. A constant 200 Lux is required in the water area. Permit lower amounts while enhancing oversight

Lighting regulations for natatoriums
The primary purpose of swimming pool lighting is to provide a secure atmosphere. We should be careful in our lamp placement and choice to produce such a safe environment.
Windows and bulbs provide both natural and artificial lighting to the swimming pool. The pool is occasionally exclusively lit by artificial light, and other times entirely by natural light. Sometimes a mix of the two might shed light on it. Dimmer controls for natatorium lighting, such as DMX, DALI, and 0-10V, are also crucial.
In a natatorium, 300 lux of light is often plenty. A 500 lux or greater illumination level may be necessary during the game.
