The surface of the light guide plate of the panel light is easy to adhere to dirt, fingerprints and other dirt, such as rubbing or collision with foreign objects, it will cause scratches; in fact, this property is the same as ordinary acrylic. It's just that the light guide plate is led out from the inside under the action of the light source, and the dirt and scratches on its surface will appear very intuitive, while ordinary acrylic does not have a light guide function, and you can only see the surface by carefully observing it from the side. Basic knowledge of dirt and scratches on the surface of the light guide plate of the control panel light:

1. Avoid processing and installing light guide plates in dust-free workshops; do not install and process in dust-free workshops.

2. After removing the protective film from the light guide plate, avoid touching the light guide plate with wet or sweaty hands;

3. Before removing the protective film of the light guide plate, the dust and debris on the surface of the light guide plate and the installation structure should be cleaned;

4. The protective film of the light guide plate should be removed as soon as possible, and the protective film should be removed before installing the light guide plate according to the processing flow;

5. When transporting the light guide plate, avoid rubbing and bumping the surface of the light guide plate at will; prevent sand particles from leaking into the gap of the light guide plate where the original plate of the light guide plate is placed; clean up foreign objects on the surface of the cutting bed when the light guide plate is cut;

6. Avoid directly wiping the surface of the light guide plate with non-cotton materials.

1. Use a cotton fabric dipped in alcohol to wipe off all the above dirt;

2. Dry or blow dry after wiping with alcohol, otherwise water will remain on the surface of the light guide plate, which will cause bright spots after contact with reflective materials or pictures;

3. If the dirt on the surface of the light guide plate is not very obvious, it is recommended not to wipe it, otherwise improper handling will cause new scratches;

4. If the light guide plate has static electricity, it is easy to pay dust, and it is not easy to clean; 1% soapy water can be used, and a soft cotton cloth dipped in soapy water can be used to remove the dust leisurely to achieve the cleaning effect.


The common sense of the surface scratch treatment of the light guide plate of the panel light:

1. Lighter scratches can be wiped with alcohol to reduce scratches;

2. Deeper scratches can be polished with an electric roller [cloth roller], which is a common method for acrylic products.


How to remedy the surface problems of the light guide plate of the panel light that cannot be handled:

Such as the dirt and scratches on the surface of the light guide plate are difficult to deal with, or the processing work will affect the overall work efficiency; the following methods can make up for the defects of the product caused by the surface problem of the light guide plate:

1. There is a certain space between the display screen of the light box or the display product and the light guide plate, and the defects on the light guide plate will generally not be seen after the screen is installed;

2. For particularly light-colored pictures or pictures close to the light guide plate, it is necessary to cover the defective light guide plate with a diffusion film, which can generally completely compensate for the surface problems of the light guide plate;

3. There are many types of diffusion films on the market. If the light guide plate is particularly severely scratched, a thicker diffusion film can be used, which may affect the brightness of the light guide plate, but the brightness drop generally does not exceed 15%.
