Cai Caixing, a farmer who grows black beans, said that the LED street lights on Wenhua Road are too dense and too bright, and the light pollution affects the growth cycle of plants. As a result, the black beans entering the harvesting period will not form pods smoothly. They will only continue to bloom and grow leaves, and the farmland also shows large areas of green and yellow color. Changhua County Councilor Li Junyu accompanied the county government's public works office to the meeting. He said that the installation of new LED street lights on Wenhua Road at the beginning of this year affected the growth of agriculture and the livelihood of farmers. Install lampshades to reduce farmers' losses. The Director of Public Works, Lam Hon-bin, said that after receiving the notice, he sent someone to install the lampshade. Lin Hanbin said that since the end of last year, the county government has carried out a lamp replacement project for old street lamps, replacing the original 400-watt mercury lamps with 100-watt LED lamps. After the replacement, the public responded well, which helped to illuminate the streets at night, but some farmers also responded to farmland crops.
