What are the lighting design and installation specifications for school classrooms?

The classroom is the main activity place for students in school, and the lighting of the classroom directly affects students' learning efficiency and vision health. However, at this stage, the quality of the classroom lighting environment in most primary and secondary schools in my country does not meet the requirements of national standards, and there are widespread problems such as insufficient classroom brightness, uneven lighting, aging lighting equipment, and unreasonable installation, which seriously endanger students' vision health and eye safety .

For school classroom lighting, scientific and reasonable design and installation is a very critical link. In order to effectively avoid the impact of school classroom lighting on the visual health of teachers and students, schools should not only adopt professional eye-protecting classroom lamps, but also arrange professional technicians to be responsible for the design and installation to ensure that the indicators of classroom lights and blackboard lights are in line with the state Standard requirements, so as to create a bright and comfortable classroom light environment, so that classroom teaching becomes smoother and more efficient.

As the country attaches great importance to the prevention and control of myopia in children and adolescents, educational lighting has ushered in a vigorous development trend, and relevant standards and regulations have been introduced one after another, which better guarantees the healthy and orderly development of the industry. In the national standard "Hygienic Requirements for the Design and Installation of Lighting in General Classrooms in Primary and Secondary Schools" (GB/T36876-2018), the illuminance and design and installation hygiene requirements for desktops and blackboards in general classrooms in primary and secondary schools are specified in detail:

1. Hygienic requirements for the illuminance of classroom desktops and blackboards

Maintain the average illuminance of the desktop not less than 300lx, and the uniformity of illuminance not less than 0.7; maintain the average illuminance of the blackboard surface not less than 500lx, and the uniformity of illuminance not less than 0.8.

2. Hygienic requirements for the design and installation of classroom lighting

Suspended grid lamps should be used, and the efficiency of the lamps should not be less than 60%; the unified glare value (UGR) should not be greater than 19; electronic ballasts should be used; the color temperature should be 3300K-5300K, and the color rendering index should not be less than 80.

The installation method of boom is adopted, and it is evenly arranged in the longitudinal direction of the classroom (the long axis of the lamp is perpendicular to the blackboard). The lighting power density of the classroom should not be higher than 11W/㎡, and it should be lower than 9W/㎡ in areas where conditions permit. The vertical distance (g) between the lamp and the desk is not less than 1700mm.

3. Hygienic requirements for the design and installation of blackboard lighting

Use special blackboard lamps with asymmetrical light intensity distribution characteristics, the efficiency of the lamps should not be less than 75%; it is advisable to use the hanging rod installation method, the lamps should be installed parallel to the blackboard, and the parallel distance between the lamps and the blackboard d=700mm~1000mm, away from the upper edge of the blackboard The vertical distance is h=100mm~200mm, and the lighting control angle of the lamp should be adjusted to avoid direct glare from the blackboard lamp to the teacher.

Starting from getting involved in the field of educational lighting, Benwei has been focusing on improving the school's light environment with practical actions, and has created many excellent cases of educational lighting throughout the country. Relying on years of accumulation of lighting technology, overclocking focuses on six core indicators of illuminance, glare, light strobe, color rendering index, color temperature, and blue light, and continuously optimizes and upgrades educational lighting products, while providing more scientific and reasonable overall lighting solutions, which are effective Solve the problems of insufficient illumination, uneven illumination, and glare hazards in school classrooms, do everything you can to keep students away from "small glasses", and create a comfortable and healthy teaching light environment for school teachers and students
