It can be said that our entire teenage years are spent in school, and to some extent school is our second home.

What are the standards for classroom lighting

With the development of the times, kindergartens and art schools occupy a higher and higher proportion in our lives. The two have one thing in common, that is, the classrooms are beautiful and generous, and they can capture the hearts of students and parents at a glance. However, with the continuous development of artistic lighting, there are more and more problems in the field of artistic lighting. The lighting effect is not up to standard. Students are gradually becoming shortsighted, and there are great hidden dangers in their vision health.

What are the standards for classroom lighting that need to be followed?

(1) The illuminance of class desktop and blackboard should meet the standard

①The maintained average illuminance value on the desktop of the classroom class should not be lower than 300lx, and its illuminance uniformity should not be lower than 0.7;

②The classroom blackboard should be equipped with local lighting, the average illuminance value should not be lower than 500lx, and the illuminance uniformity should not be lower than 0.8. In order to pursue retro and high pressure, some art schools deliberately lower the brightness, and accidentally fail to meet the standard.

(2) No glare on class desktop and blackboard

The uniform glare value (URG) of classroom lighting should not be greater than 19. Some art schools use the special effects of glazed glass, which will also cause the glare value of individual desks to exceed the standard.

(3) The color index of classroom lighting is high

The color rendering index of the classroom lighting source should not be less than 80. Some kindergarten classrooms prefer colored lighting, which causes objects to be seen under such lights to be severely distorted.

(4) The color temperature of the classroom lighting source is moderate

Classroom lighting should use a light source with a color temperature of 3300K-5500K. Some art schools choose yellowish lighting in order to make the classroom look more elegant. The color temperature of the light source that is too yellowish is difficult to reach 3300K.
