How to use LED lighting for museum lighting? For museum lighting, many people often hear that the requirements for LED lighting are anti-glare, high CRI and so on. And many years of experience in commercial lighting projects tell us that the museum has a lot of special attention from lighting design to the LED lighting fixtures used, mainly track lights and LED downlights, and there are even other rules. Learn more about museum lighting here. How to use led lighting.

1. Museum lighting uses high-CRI LED lighting

Due to the needs of exhibition cultural relics, museum lighting has very high requirements on the light distribution of LED lamps, especially the optical design of LED downlights, which must eliminate glare, and the light spot must be clean and beautiful, and no secondary light spots are allowed. At the same time, the requirement for the color rendering index is Ra≥90, because it involves restoring the state of cultural relics with light that is relatively most in line with the actual color and material.

2. Use track lights and LED downlights for museum lighting

1. Let me talk about the standard lamps and track lights of the museum. Its characteristic is that the lamp position is easy to adjust, and the track can be used to connect the electricity and the lamp at the same time. From the perspective of the special functions of the museum, due to the large number of temporary exhibitions, each time the exhibition is set up, the exhibits often encounter the situation of changes in placement and movement of objects, and the lighting needs to be adjusted temporarily. Therefore, LED track lights have the characteristics of flexible projection direction and convenient beam angle adjustment, which can fully meet the needs of museums.

2. The second type of lamps commonly used in museums is LED downlights. This is also related to the decoration and light distribution needs of the museum. LED track lights have been used as the main lighting fixtures. The indoor area of the venue does not require too many lights to be arranged in the ceiling, but there are some places that the track lights cannot take care of. This requires a large number of LED downlights to solve this problem. This delicate and compact lamp is hidden in the ceiling gap, which realizes the concealment of the led lamp and ensures the overall illumination. More importantly, it can evenly distribute the light sources, so that the ground illuminance in each area is balanced without shadows.
