LED Lights That Minimize or Eliminate Blue Light
Understanding the Problem
Blue light peaks around 450–480nm. Most standard LEDs (especially "cool white") emit significant blue light because they use a blue LED chip + yellow phosphor design.
Best Options to Eliminate/Reduce Blue Light
1. 🟡 Amber / Yellow LEDs
Wavelength: 570–620nm
Virtually zero blue light
Best for: bedrooms, nightlights, evening use
Trade-off: warm yellowish color, lower brightness perception
we produce 570-590nm LED Tube light which can eliminate the blue light , you can see below our product picture and test report

The blue light is 450-460nm wavelength , You can see our test report does not have any 450-460nm wavelength
2. 🔴 Red LEDs
Wavelength: 620–750nm
No blue light at all
Best for: night vision preservation, sleep lighting
Used by: astronomers, sleep researchers
3. 🕯️ Warm White LED (2200K–2700K) + Blue Light Filter Phosphor
Low blue light, but not zero
Look for "PC Amber" phosphor LEDs (used in street lights)
4. 🌅 "Sunlike" / Full Spectrum LEDs (Seoul Semiconductor)
Uses violet chip (405nm) instead of blue chip
Much lower blue light spike
More natural color rendering
5. 🔆 Filtered "Blue Blocking" Bulbs
Standard LED + built-in amber filter
Comparison Table
| Type | Blue Light | Color | Best Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amber LED | ✅ None | Yellow-orange | Sleep, evening |
| Red LED | ✅ None | Red | Night vision |
| PC Amber | ✅ Near zero | Warm yellow | Reading at night |
| SunLike (violet chip) | ⚡ Very low | Natural white | General living |
| 2700K warm white | ⚠️ Low | Warm white | General use |
| 4000K+ cool white | ❌ High | Bluish white | Avoid at night |
🛒 Recommended Products
| Brand | Product | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| BENWEI Lighting | Amber LED / SunLike series | Best quality, low blue |

💡 Quick Rule of Thumb
Color Temperature (CCT) is your easiest guide:
≤ 2200K → minimal blue light ✅
2700K → low blue light 🟡
4000K+ → significant blue light ❌
For complete blue light elimination → go with amber or red LED bulbs specifically marketed as "blue light free." you can see more information on https://www.benweilight.com/lighting-tube-bulb/yello-cover-tube-light/yellow-cover-tube-led-lights-anti-uv.html
