Why pay attention to the installation design of eye protection classroom lights

Why pay attention to the installation design of eye protection classroom lights

It is important to choose good eye-protecting classroom lights, but the installation design of eye-protecting classroom lights is also very important. Inconsistent height, etc., these small details will directly affect the classroom lighting, thereby endangering the health of the eyesight of the students. Therefore, the renovation and installation of classroom lighting requires a special design plan.

It is understood that in recent years, in accordance with relevant national requirements and regulatory requirements, the minimum distance between the light and the desktop in the classroom lighting is 1.7 meters. However, according to the actual survey status from 2016 to 2018, The target pass rate is around 80%. Some classrooms are not up to standard.

Moreover, the situation is not optimistic about the blackboard illuminance and class desk illuminance in the specification. As required by the specification, “the blackboard should be equipped with local lighting (that is, classroom blackboard lights), and the uniformity of the blackboard illumination should not be less than 500 lux; the uniformity of the illumination on the desk table should not be less than 300 lux. And the monitoring from 2016 to 2017 The situation shows that the pass rate of the two targets is mostly around 60%.

According to the survey, the sampling rate of myopia in the first grade of elementary school is generally about 10%, but by the sixth grade of elementary school, it is close to 60%; and the myopia rate of high school students is even closer to 90%. It can be seen that the lighting in the classroom does affect the visual health of students. Children should pay special attention to them when they are in school, especially in the third and fourth grades of elementary school. Therefore, primary school students are the key to myopia prevention and control. Irregular classroom lighting has a certain impact on students' eyesight.

There are many factors that affect the lighting environment of the classroom, and most of them are details that teachers and parents usually overlook:

  1. The blackboard is the focus of eyesight in the entire teaching process. It is necessary to install the blackboard eye protection lamp in the classroom. However, in the survey, many schools, especially the old campuses, did not meet the standards.

  2. Classroom lighting should avoid direct light. Nowadays, classroom eye protection lamps generally have grilles, which can effectively prevent direct light from irradiating the eyes and protect the health of eyesight.

   3. The number of lights and the height of the lights should be suitable. The minimum hanging height of the lamp from the desk of the class should not be less than 1.7 meters. However, many school lamps are installed too high, which will cause the class desktop illumination to not meet the standard. "

  4. The lamp should be arranged with the long axis straight to the blackboard surface, which means that the lamp should be installed straight on the blackboard surface, not parallel to the blackboard surface.

   5. The viewing distance of the class desktop and the person should be suitable. "The relevant regulations of the country require that the height of the desks should be adjusted according to their height, and for taller students, the desks and chairs should also be raised accordingly, otherwise the appropriate viewing distance cannot be reached.

In fact, there are other ways to prevent myopia, such as frequent participation in field activities and regular eye exercises, which can also prevent the occurrence of myopia and slow down the development.

Through the above analysis, everyone should understand some misunderstandings of classroom lighting. Professional classroom eye protection lights, classroom blackboard lights, and classroom lighting design schemes can effectively prevent the occurrence of myopia and protect teachers and students' vision health.
