The annual output value of Baoan LED lighting will exceed 80 billion yuan.
Yesterday, the Bao'an District Semiconductor Lighting Industry Development Theme Salon hosted by Bao'an District Economic Promotion Bureau was held in Bao'an District High-tech Industrial Park. The government set up a platform, and university experts and business elites gathered in the salon to discuss the general trend of industrial development and explore new economic growth points. Experts predict that the annual output value of Baoan's semiconductor lighting industry will exceed 80 billion yuan this year.
The LED lighting industry has developed rapidly in recent years, and the development speed of the semiconductor lighting industry in Bao'an District ranks first in the country. There is a saying in the industry that “China’s LEDs look at Shenzhen, and Shenzhen looks at Baoan”. In 2013, the output value of the domestic semiconductor lighting industry exceeded 257.6 billion yuan, of which Shenzhen enterprises accounted for more than 40% of the country’s proportion, and the output value of enterprises in Bao’an District alone exceeded 61 billion yuan, accounting for more than 23.68% of the domestic output value, of which upstream chip output value 400 million yuan, 6 billion yuan in packaging output value, and 54.6 billion yuan in applications.
In 2015, we need to make breakthroughs in the following four aspects:
One is width, that is, a breakthrough in thinking. LED cannot always stay at the level of replacement. We must focus on the big picture, make a fuss about transcendence, and strengthen innovation and research and development in "pan-LED lighting".
The second is depth, which is to make LED more professional. This requires companies to be subtractive, to be refined, specialized, and in-depth in the field they are good at, and maybe they will find a space and cheese that suits them.
The third is concentration, that is, to improve the cost performance of LEDs and provide consumers with concentrated and simplified products. The fourth is height, that is, LEDs must have the height of wisdom. Smart lighting is a popular trend in the future, but wisdom is not the same as complexity. Minimalism and ease of operation are the foundations for widespread applications.
