The LUXEON C and CZ LEDs are the recommended options for architectural and entertainment lighting since they are 17% brighter than PC Amber, 10% brighter than Lime, and 4% brighter than Royal Blue.
In its LUXEON C and CZ Colour Lines, the lighting industry's most extensive colour LED product lines, Lumileds today reported breakthrough flux delivery from the PC Amber, Lime, and Royal Blue emitters. The remarkable 17% increase in PC Amber flux in LUXEON C LEDs makes it simpler, safer, and more efficient to design illumination for construction vehicles, tow trucks, and first responder vehicles. The finest tunable white and colour mixing solutions depend on Lumileds' special Lime LEDs, which have the greatest effectiveness of any LED in the industry at 149 lm/W. A 4% improvement in flux performance helps Royal Blue be used more widely in architectural and entertainment applications.
Lumileds Product Marketing Manager LP Liew said, "The LUXEON colour lines are known for having the greatest colour selection and now they provide even higher luminous output so fixtures will require fewer LEDs to achieve their target brightness in a smaller overall footprint."
Because each colour has the same focus length, the LUXEON C and CZ colour lines provide perfect colour mixing, preventing halos and guaranteeing consistent output levels throughout light beams. With its dome-less design, the LUXEON CZ Colour LEDs provide 50% more punch and narrower beam angles than their rivals. Compact fixture designs are made possible by the LUXEON C's low dome, which extracts the most light from a very tiny source. When operated at 350 mA, the LUXEON C achieves a bright output of 110 lm in PC Amber, 149 lm in Lime, and 552 mW in Royal Blue. LUXEON CZ produces 432 mW in Royal Blue at 350 mA, 88 lm in PC Amber, and 138 lm in Lime.
Both colour lines have a compact 2.0 x 2.0 mm overall footprint for dense packing, low heat resistance that eliminates the need for a heat sink, and hot testing to guarantee colour constancy under actual working circumstances. Violet, Royal Blue, Blue, Cyan, Green, Lime, Mint, PC Amber, Amber, Red-Orange, Red, Deep Red, and Far Red are among the colours of the LUXEON C and CZ ranges.
