How are lithium batteries made?

After years of development, the lithium battery industry has formed a complete industrial chain with a high degree of specialization. With the support of national policies and the introduction of the new national standard for electric vehicles, lithium batteries will be the first choice for electric travel tools in the future. So, how are high-quality lithium batteries for electric vehicles made?

Step 1: Ingredients

The high vacuum fully automatically stirs the material for 10 hours, disperses the materials required for the lithium battery evenly, and improves the consistency and comprehensive performance of the battery. Why do you do that? Because ingredients are the core area of lithium battery production, poor ingredients directly affect the performance of lithium batteries.

Step 2: Coating

Adopt automatic feeding system, automatic knife adjustment system and online thickness measurement system to coat the positive and negative plates evenly. Why do you do that? Because coating is the foundation of lithium battery production, coating determines the consistency of the battery.

The third step: the roller

After the positive and negative plates are coated, the positive and negative materials are relatively loose, and it is necessary to apply a certain pressure to the pole pieces to compact the positive and negative materials to a certain range.

Step 4: Slitting

Depending on the type of battery, the positive and negative electrodes need to be cut into the required width. Such as 18650 lithium battery, the width of the pole piece is within 56-58mm.

Step 5: Sheeting and Winding

Using an automatic tablet machine, the positive and negative electrodes are welded to the positive and negative plates. And using an automatic winding machine, the positive and negative electrode sheets and the separator are wound together into a cylindrical shape.

Step 6: Bottom Roll Grooving and Vacuum Drying

The coil core is put into the steel shell, the negative lug is automatically welded, and the groove is automatically rolled. In addition, after high vacuum and high temperature baking, a small amount of water is dried, so that the performance of the lithium battery can be guaranteed.

Step 7: Form into Contents

Lithium batteries need to be charged and discharged before shipment, and the batteries are in a state of dots before leaving the factory.

Step 8: Assemble the Lithium Battery

The fully automatic welding machine welds multiple battery combinations together with connecting pieces, and then installs the circuit board, conducts the aging test, and inspects the shipment.
