How to do a good job in the protection of LED lamps?

When using LED lights, the most fearful thing is that the LED lights do not light up. At this time, don't blame the environment. Improper installation methods, protection measures and excessive power supply are important reasons for the lights not to light up. Of course, there are many human factors. Here, LED educational lamp manufacturers combine 8 major examples to analyze how to do a good job in the protection of LED lamps:

1. The poor heat dissipation of the LED leads to the aging of the die-bonding glue, the layer is peeled off, and the chip falls off.

Preventive measures: Prevent the LED from levitating and tilting when soldering. Do a good job of LED heat dissipation to ensure that the LED heat dissipation channel is smooth.

2. Over-current and over-voltage shocks cause the drive, the chip to burn, and the lamps to be in an open or short circuit state.

Preventive measures: Do a good job of EOS protection to prevent the current and voltage from being larger than the current and voltage of the lamp or drive the LED for a long time.

3. Overcurrent impact, burn the gold wire

Preventive measures: prevent overcurrent and overvoltage from impacting the LED.

4. The anti-static protection is not done during the use process, resulting in the breakdown of the LEDPN junction.

Preventive measures: Do a good job of ESD protection to prevent the interference of static electricity from causing the work of the lamps.

5. The soldering temperature is too high, the colloid expands violently and breaks the gold wire, or the impact of external force collides with the packaging colloid, and the gold wire is torn off.

Preventive measures: Each lamp has a corresponding installation manual. Solder according to the recommended soldering conditions, and pay attention to protect the package structure from damage during the assembly process.

6. The LED is wet and not dehumidified, the glue cracks during the reflow soldering process, and the gold wire is broken.

Preventive measures: Be careful in the maintenance process, and dehumidify according to the conditions. You can use a moisture-proof box or an oven for drying and dehumidification. Should be reflowed according to the recommended reflow parameters.

7. The unreasonable setting of the reflow soldering temperature curve results in the violent expansion of the colloid during the reflow process, resulting in the breakage of the gold wire.

Preventive measures: Reflow soldering according to the recommended reflow parameters.

8. The Zener is broken down. During assembly, the positive and negative poles of the LED are short-circuited or the PCB board is short-circuited, and the LED is broken down.

Preventive measures: Do a good job of ESD anti-static protection, avoid short circuit of positive and negative electrodes, and PCB should be carefully checked.
