How to use LED tube light and electronic ballast brackets?

The combination of LED lamps and electronic ballast brackets needs to be adjusted according to the type of lamps and the circuit structure of the original brackets. The following are specific usage methods and precautions:

1. Confirm the type of LED lamps

There are two types of LED lamps, and the installation method needs to be selected according to the type:

Single-end power supply (single-pin power supply)

The lamp has only one end with a power pin (the other end only serves as a fixation), and the ballast needs to be disconnected and directly connected to the mains.

Double-end power supply (double-pin power supply)

The pins at both ends of the lamp need to be powered, but no ballast is required, and the mains needs to be directly connected.

2. Steps to modify the electronic ballast bracket

Method 1: Completely remove the ballast (recommended)
Power off: Turn off the power supply to ensure safety.

Disassemble the bracket: Open the bracket shell and find the electronic ballast inside.

Remove the ballast: Cut or disassemble the ballast and directly connect the power cord to the lamp holder of the bracket:

Single-end power supply: The live wire (L) is connected to one pin of the lamp holder at one end, and the neutral wire (N) is connected to another pin at the same end (the pin at the other end is vacant).

Dual-end power supply: The live wire (L) is connected to one pin of the lamp holder at one end, and the neutral wire (N) is connected to one pin of the lamp holder at the other end (the remaining pins are short-circuited).

Insulation treatment: Wrap the exposed wires with insulating tape to avoid short circuits.

Method 2: Compatible with the original electronic ballast
Some LED lamps claim to be compatible with electronic ballasts,  it do not need to remove ballast ,  very easy and convenient to install .

3. Install LED lamps

Insert the LED lamp into the modified bracket lamp holder.

Power on the test to confirm that the lamp is lit normally without flickering or abnormal noise.

4. Precautions

Safety first: Always turn off the power to avoid electric shock.

Match voltage: Confirm that the voltage of the LED lamp is consistent with the mains (usually 220V).

Avoid mixing: Traditional fluorescent lamps cannot be mixed with LED lamps in the same bracket (circuit incompatibility).

Check polarity: Double-ended power supply lamps must ensure that both ends are wired correctly to avoid not lighting or damage.

V. Common problems
The lamp does not light: Check whether the wiring is correct and confirm that the ballast is completely disconnected.

Flickering or noise: It may be that the ballast is not completely removed or the contact is poor.

Through the above steps, the traditional electronic ballast bracket can be transformed into a lighting system that adapts to LED lamps, improving energy efficiency and life. If you are not sure about the operation, it is recommended to consult a professional electrician. for electronic ballast compatible T8 LED Tube light , you can find more information on http://www.benweilight.com
