LED flood light bright than halogen

As we briefly explained before, LED flood lights consume far fewer Watts than their halogen counterparts – so they use a lot less energy. But does this mean they’re not as bright?

In short: No. You can expect the same level of brightness from an LED flood light as a halogen floodlight. Brightness isn’t measured in Watts. It’s actually measured in lumens. Always look for lumens when replacing a halogen light with an LED alternative.

For example, our 30W Philips slim LED flood light beams 3750 lumens of light –equivalent to a 300W halogen floodlight, while consuming a lot less energy.

In fact, if we think of brightness in terms of ‘lumens per Watt’, then LED flood lights are considerably brighter than their halogen alternatives!
