Major international manufacturers are striving to attack the LED lighting market

Philips' LED component factory Lumiledse Malaysia will double its high-power LED production capacity in November. ASIACHEM has expanded its production capacity by 20% to fully attack LED lighting, while Cree of the United States has increased its LED lighting technology at a steep pace.


   Lumileds already accounts for 30% of high-power LEDs in LED lighting applications. The Malaysian factory produces 2 to 3 million units per day. In order to meet the needs of next year, the second factory in Malaysia will operate in November. It is no problem to produce more than 4 million pieces, and this year will also be differentiated for different markets. The Philips Group estimates that in 2015, the penetration rate of LED lighting will be 50%, and Philips' lighting market share in the mainland has also grabbed the first place, currently occupying 30%. The director of Nichia Chemicals stated that Nichia's monthly production capacity is between 2 billion and 3 billion. As it is optimistic about the rapid growth of lighting next year, Nichia will expand its production capacity by 20% this year and hope that LED lighting will grow next year1 Times.


American Cree is optimistic about the future development of Taiwanese LED manufacturers, mainly because Taiwan has strong technical capabilities and a complete supply chain, which can quickly grasp the entire market demand.
