Recessed downlight installation method, downlight installation precautions
Downlights are generally used as auxiliary lights in home lighting. They are usually common in living rooms, bedrooms, corridors, porches, etc. Downlights are small in shape and can be directly embedded on the ceiling. They are a kind of concealed lighting. It will take up too much space.
The steps of the embedded downlight installation method can be divided into the following steps:
1. Line and drill holes on the ceiling according to the size and installation position of the downlight;
2. Connect the reserved power cord in the ceiling to the downlight;
3. Adjust the wing nut of the downlight fixing reed so that the height of the reed is the same as the thickness of the ceiling;
4. Push the downlight into the ceiling opening.

Precautions for downlight installation:
1. Pay attention to check the product. Before installing the downlight, be sure to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the product, so as not to affect the use. Under normal circumstances, the product can be returned or exchanged if there is a quality problem that is damaged by non-human factors.
2. Pay attention to cut off the power supply. In order to avoid electric shock during the installation process, the power supply must be disconnected before installing the downlight. After the wiring is completed, the power can be turned on for inspection to ensure that the wiring is intact.
3. Pay attention to the installation location. Since the downlight will generate a certain amount of heat on the surface of the luminaire during the lighting process, it is necessary to keep a certain distance from the wall when determining the installation position to avoid being too close to the wall. The heat emitted will make the wall yellow and reduce the indoor Aesthetics. In addition, the installation location should avoid the heat source in the home or the place where hot steam is generated, so as to avoid the heat damage to the lamp and shorten the service life.
4. Confirm the installation quantity. It is necessary to confirm the required number of downlights in advance before opening and installing, so as to avoid defects in the installation process. In addition, confirming the quantity also means determining the applicable power supply. If a high-voltage power supply is used, it must be ensured that the power is not turned on and off too frequently.
5. Pay attention to the use of space. Downlights are indoor lights and generally cannot be used outdoors. If they need to be used outdoors due to special circumstances, they must be waterproofed during installation. In addition, for the space where the ceiling is made, it is best to confirm the load-bearing capacity of the ceiling before installation. In order to ensure safety, the load-bearing ceiling of the downlight must be greater than about 10 times the weight of the product itself.
6. Pay attention to flatness. Since the downlights are mostly embedded installation, there are certain requirements for the flatness of the installation location, and it must be flat and free of fire hazards and vibrations. Avoid collisions or knocks with hard objects during installation and use to avoid damage.
