SPF 30 or higher broad-spectrum sunscreen prevents up to 97% of the sun's radiation. A shot glass' worth of sunscreen will be plenty to cover your entire body and face. Reapply every two hours, or more frequently if you plan on getting wet or perspiring a lot. Use additional vigilance between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. since those are the hours when the sun is at its brightest.

UVA rays.

UV-B rays

Fortunately, UVB rays cannot penetrate glass, so you are shielded from them whether driving or indoors. SPF 30 or higher sunscreen will also block UVB radiation.
UVC rays originate from the sun, but none of them can reach the earth's surface because of the ozone layer. However, artificial radiation sources like lights, welding torches, and lasers can also produce UVC rays. Although UVC rays can still injure the eyes, they cannot enter the skin as deeply as UVA or UVB rays. Never gaze at a UVC light source directly.
Which UV Ray Type Is the Most Dangerous?
Continuous, uncovered exposure to UV light from any source can be dangerous. The body is least permeable to UVC rays, which mostly affect delicate bodily parts like the eyes. While UVB rays can reach the middle layer of skin and induce deep malignant patches known as melanoma, UVA rays can only enter the top layer of skin.
