The evolution of led fluorescent tube has gone through four generations at present:
The first generation of LED fluorescent tube
Around 2005, the shell of the led fluorescent lamp was made of all plastic, the lamp beads were F5 straw hat led lamp beads, the circuit board was made of glass fiber board, and the power supply was a built-in non-isolated power supply. At that time, the light efficiency of the whole lamp was about 40. -60LM/W.
But it was soon discovered that the light decay of this fluorescent lamp was very serious, and the life span was actually only 1000-2000 hours. This was mainly caused by the packaging structure of the straw hat lamp and the problem of the lamp tube material. The heat dissipation of the straw hat lamp mainly relies on two legs. In addition, the circuit board of the lamp tube is a fiberglass board, and the outer shell is all plastic, so the overall heat dissipation performance is very poor. The lamp tube will be scrapped in a short time, which also makes consumers lose confidence in the led lamp tube.
The second generation LED fluorescent lamp
When people found that straw hat tube were not suitable for tube use, around 2007, most manufacturers began to use patch light sources to make fluorescent tube. The housing also began to use half-aluminum and half-plastic, and circuit boards began to use aluminum substrates, but this is quite a mess. During the period, the light sources used were 3528, 3020, 5050, etc., and even 1W high-power LEDs. And because of the different schemes adopted by each company, the overall lighting effect was about 60-80LM/W. The power supply was built-in, external, and isolated. Multiple solutions coexist in isolation. At this time, the buyer has become confused, the prices of various products vary greatly, and they do not know how to choose.
The third generation LED fluorescent tube
Around 2009, due to the rapid development of LEDs, the luminous efficiency of LED lamp beads has also been rapidly improved. High luminous efficiency (100LM/W), good heat dissipation, and small size 3014 patch LEDs began to be designed in fluorescent tube, and the overall lighting effect has also increased to 70-100lm/W, due to the good effect at this stage, the price has dropped a lot, and the sales volume has also begun to rise. At this stage, the mainstream products on the market are mainly 3528 and 3014, but there is still a lot of gap between prices and ordinary people's goals.
The fourth generation LED fluorescent lamp
Around 2011, the 3014 patch began to be used as a fluorescent lamp. Due to the increase in the luminous flux of a single LED lamp bead, when the same luminous flux is reached, the number of LED lamp beads used is also reduced, the cost is also reduced, and more importantly, the 3014 SMD heat dissipation performance is better, the light-emitting area is larger, the light output rate is better, and so on. It can be concluded that for a long time, it will inevitably be a trend to use 3014 SMD LEDs as the core light source of the lamp.
