The form is not solid, so a strobe pulse at twice the mains frequency, i.e. 120Hz, may occur, assuming there is no suitable electronic circuit such as a ballast, driver or power supply, the LED light source will flicker.

It may cause brain cell damage. Some researchers said that by querying the EEG, they found that even if the stroboscopic light in the environment is too fast to be detected, the retina of the organism can still distinguish the frequency of 100-160Hz or even as high as 200Hz. In animal experiments represented by cats, light with a frequency of 100-120Hz has caused the burning of brain cells. The burning cells belong to the lateral geniculate body tissue and play a role in controlling the eyeball.


May affect reading and vision. Studies have shown that the frequency of fluorescent lamps and CRT monitors can affect people's eye movements when reading text. In addition, in some health check statements, the frequency of fluorescent lamps has also been found to damage eyesight.


Migraine may be triggered, and studies have found that strobe fluorescent lights at a frequency of 100 Hz may double the incidence of headaches in office workers. Of course, this effect is usually considered an exception and only occurs in special populations.


Some level of strobe is not noticeable and no physical discomfort, but some strobes can have serious consequences. In some factories, all lighting equipment is replaced by a low frequency flashing scheme, which improves the production line personnel. In terms of work efficiency, some household desk lamps on the market are also promoting low-frequency flashing products, indicating the importance of protecting eyesight; in other museums or exhibition venues, lighting products without water ripples under safety monitoring are also required to ensure strict and high security at all times monitoring.
