Types of lighting source Key parameters of luminaire light source

Lighting source is something you need to pay attention to when choosing lamps and lanterns. The applicable places of different lamps and lanterns may be very different. Maybe many people are not clear about it. So what are the types of lighting sources? What are the key parameters of the lamp light source? Don't worry, benwei lighting is here to explain it for everyone, let's take a look, it is very helpful for you to choose the right lighting.

Lamps

Types of lighting sources:

1. Incandescent lamp

The biggest shortcoming of incandescent lamps is their short life span. The operating time is generally between 3000 and 4000 hours. Some incandescent lamps of poor quality can only be used for 1500 hours. Incandescent lamps in homes are often used in spaces such as dining rooms and bedrooms, and they look more comfortable in color.

2. Tungsten halogen lamp

The metal halide lamp is actually a kind of incandescent lamp, and the life span is generally between 3000 and 4000 hours, not more than 6000 hours. This kind of lamp can be used for accent lighting. For example, in order to highlight the decorative paintings on the wall, indoor decorations, etc., it can be illuminated with cold light cups. The white light of the lamp can be changed according to different home decoration styles, and it is consistent with fashion.

3. Fluorescent light

Energy saving, about 60% of the electric energy consumed by fluorescent lamps can be converted into ultraviolet light, and other energy can be converted into heat energy. Generally, the efficiency of converting ultraviolet light into visible light is about 40%. Therefore, the efficiency of a fluorescent lamp is about 60%×40%=24%-approximately twice that of a tungsten lamp with the same power.

4. Energy-saving lamps

Energy-saving lamps are popular because of their energy saving. A 9-watt energy-saving lamp is equivalent to a 40-watt incandescent lamp. The life of energy-saving lamps is also relatively long, generally 8000 to 10000 hours. After a period of normal use of energy-saving lamps, the lamp will dim, mainly because of the loss of phosphor, which is technically called light decay. Some high-quality energy-saving lamps have invented constant-brightness technology, which can keep the lamp in the best working condition for a long time. After 2000 hours of use, the light decay is less than 10%.

5. LED lights

The scientific name of this kind of lamp is light-emitting diode, which is a new technology. The white LED lights on the market now have better performance, but the current LED lights still need to be improved technically.

Lamps

Key parameters of lamp light source:

1. Luminous flux

The total amount of light emitted by the light source per unit time, generally the greater the power, the higher the luminous efficiency, and the higher the luminous flux.

2. Color temperature

When the color of the light emitted by the light source is the same as the color radiated by the black body at a certain temperature, the temperature of the black body is called the color temperature of the light source.

3. Color rendering

The average life of the light source to the true color of the object. A batch of light sources are lit at the same time. When 50% of the light sources fail, it is the average life of this batch of light sources.

4. Light effect

Different light sources consume the same amount of electricity at the same time, and how much light is emitted. A light source with high luminous efficiency is definitely more power-efficient than a low-efficiency light source.

5. Strobe

The number of times the light source flashes per second, the higher the strobe, the greater the adverse effect on vision.
