What is a shoebox light?

A shoebox lamp is a kind of outdoor lighting fixture that is often used for stadiums, parking lots, streetlights, and other large-area lighting applications. It is intended to produce strong, wide illumination. Its boxy, rectangular shape-which resembles a shoebox-gives it its name.

The majority of contemporary shoebox lights utilise energy-efficient LEDs, which provide strong light with little power usage. This is one of the shoebox lights' key features.

High Lumen Output: Usually between 10,000 and over 50,000 lumens, this kind of output is intended to cover large areas.

Sturdy and Weatherproof: Constructed from sturdy materials, usually aluminium, and certified IP65 or above for water and dust resistance.

Beam control and optics: A lot of models include movable optics that allow for precise light directing, which lowers light pollution and glare.

Motion Sensors & Smart Controls: To save energy, some more sophisticated models include motion sensors or dimming capabilities.

Typical Applications:

Street Lighting (to replace outdated HID lamps)

Garages and Parking Lots

Stadiums & Sports Fields

Warehouses and Industrial Zones

Because shoebox lights are more efficient than conventional high-pressure sodium (HPS) or metal halide lights and provide consistent, brilliant, and long-lasting illumination, they are widely used.
