What waterproof level does the waterproof lamp have?
And our splash and waterproof led strips are sealed in a very thin heat shrink coating that is almost the same size as an uncoated strip. (Heat shrinkable coatings are preferable to traditional resin or silicone LED strip coatings because they become brittle and discolored over time. This can significantly affect the output of waterproof LEDs - i.e. their brightness - and life expectancy .) All items in Yunfei's LED tape range are available in all 3 types: uncoated (not waterproof), splash proof or fully waterproof LED lights. Ingress Protection (IP) indicates that electrical products, such as our waterproof LED lights, provide protection against dust and moisture. The higher the IP value, the better the protection the waterproof light strip provides.
Waterproof light strip IP grade 1, IP 67
These are our fully waterproof led lights. The led strips with protection class IP67 can be mounted externally and are protected against regular contact with water. (Important – IP67 provides no protection if installed in a permanently submerged location). The IP67 waterproof LED light uses the same coating as the IP65 splashproof range, but has an extra sealant on each end.
Waterproof light strip IP grade 2, IP 65
Our splash-proof led strips are IP65 rated, so they are ideal for installation under kitchen cabinets and in bathrooms. They are coated with our very thin heat shrink coating and with two heat shrinks on each end of the tape, they provide general protection and are easy to wipe and clean.
Waterproof light with IP grade three, IP20
This is the standard grade of our led strip. It is only suitable for internal use as there is no guaranteed dust/water resistance.
