1 Color temperature adjustment


At present, there are a lot of flat panel light products on the market, and the flat panel lights of various manufacturers have different characteristics. There are two ways to choose the color temperature of lamps. One is the variable color temperature lamp type, which uses the brightness ratio of the two groups of LED modules with low color temperature and high color temperature to adjust the color temperature. The advantage is that the color temperature is more accurate and easy to use; the disadvantage is that if the color temperature is adjusted to the highest or lowest, only half of the LED modules of the lamp are in use, and the brightness is low. The other is a constant color temperature lamp type. Mostly 3200K or 5600K.


However, due to the uneven technical level of manufacturers, the quality of LED modules is also different. The actual measurement index of color temperature and the nominal index often have a color temperature difference of about 100 K ~ 150 K. In actual use, the accuracy of color temperature affects the matching of devices such as cameras and large screens, which will directly affect the picture presentation. If the color temperature deviation of the lamps is large, you can use the Leiden color paper to solve it. Assuming that the color temperature of the large screen is 5 800 K, and the color temperature of the lamp is 5 000 K, it is only necessary to increase the color temperature to 5 800 K to match the large screen by adding 80 color paper in front of the lamp. If the color temperature of the lamps is higher than the color temperature of the large screen, use the Raiden 85. It should be noted that any type of color paper has an impact on the color rendering index of the lamp. Therefore, in the selection of flat panel lamps, the pre-test is used to select LED panel light products with relatively accurate color temperature.

2 Projection angle


The best projection angle of LED panel light as surface light is 40°~45°. The floor height of many small studios in China is less than 5 m, and depending on the situation, the projection angle is often smaller. Generally speaking, the larger the projection angle, the better the three-dimensional effect of the face light, the larger the face shadow area, and the less the stray light of the face light. The smaller the camera angle, the worse the three-dimensional sense of the face light, the smaller the shadow area of the face, and the easier the stray light is on the background.


3 lighting levels


Studio surface illuminance standards are not yet established on a global scale. News studios in Europe and the United States often use a low illumination of about 300 lx, and with the large aperture of the camera from 2.8 to 3.0, a picture effect with a large background blur and a large depth of field can be obtained. The surface illumination of CCTV news programs reaches 1 000 lx to 1 500 lx, and the aperture of the camera is about 5.6, resulting in a clearer background picture effect. The advantage of high illumination is that the details of character skin and clothes are easier to reflect.


With the development of technology, the latitude of cameras is improving, and the efficacy of flat panel lights is also improving. The two processing methods of high and low illumination are more based on the needs of subjective artistic effects. Using LED panel lights for lighting, the ratio of the illuminance of the face light of the characters to the illuminance of the backlight is usually 1:1.5, and the ratio of the illuminance of the surface light to the background (large screen) is 3:1. The light ratio should also be adjusted according to the specific situation.


4 Shading


The host's facial shadow has always been the primary focus of the lighting engineer. The main means of reducing shadows are:


(1) Add a diffuser to make the light softer;


(2) Use the mutual influence of multiple flat lights to dilute the shadow;


(3) Reduce the projection angle of the surface light;


(4) Add eye lights to supplement the host's bags under the eyes, chin, and neck to dilute the shadows.


5 zone control


Soft and uniform light quality is a major feature of LED panel lights. However, its light scattering is strong, and it is easy to produce more stray light projected to the background or other areas, resulting in problems such as the background being too bright and the picture layering being unclear. At present, there are several methods for LED panel lights to control the light area:


Use a shutter to block light. This shading effect is not ideal due to the diffuse light output characteristics of flat panel lamps.


Controlling the light area with the honeycomb front grille at different angles is a commonly used method at present.


Use a black flag board or black cardboard to block excess stray light.


Using black tin foil, cut out the desired shape and fix it on the front of the light fixture.
